The Casino Food Co-op is a leading export food processor with production facilities located in Casino and Booyong, near Lismore, in the Northern Rivers area of the NSW Far North Coast. Since 1933, our Company has established ourselves as an industry leader in meat processing, providing a unique opportunity for operators to process livestock in world class processing facilities.
We have an exciting opportunity for a General Labourer to join our Casino team in the Livestock and Yards department on a part time basis. Reporting to the Livestock Leading Hand, this position will be responsible for the safety and wellbeing of livestock, as well as aiding in daily general labouring duties associated with the Livestock and Yards department. The role will predominantly fill the afternoon shift 4 days per week, but flexibility to work other shift times if required would be highly regarded.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in this position, you will need to possess the following skills and abilities:
- Strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team
- Time management skills and ability to keep up with a fast paced production environment
- Thorough understanding of animal welfare requirements
- Commitment to undertake training as required
- Reliability and punctuality
- Ability to learn quickly and follow directions
- Strong adherence to WHS procedures
- Livestock industry experience
- Good cattle sense
