Job Summary:
We are looking for a Fuel Technician, who is keen to drive continuous improvement and increase efficiency, to join our team at WA Fuel. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation of fuel pipework, calibrating and servicing pumps and dispensers and on-site maintenance and repairs of fuel storage tanks, pumps, and pipework. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent organisational skills, and a high degree of commitment to delivering exceptional service to our customers.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Installing pipework on fuel storage tanks to fuel pumping and dispensing equipment.
- Undertaking low voltage repairs and installation on electronic boards in fuel storage tanks.
- Completing calibrations on fuel pumping equipment.
- Installing and commissioning new fuel storage tanks and pumping equipment.
- Providing on-site service inspections on fuel storage, pumping, and dispensing systems
- After-hours calls and weekend coverage as required from time to time.
- Carrying out breakdown repairs on tanks, pumps, piping, valves, hoses, dispensers, and associated equipment.
- Maintain a safe working environment, reporting all safety incidents, near misses or concerns to Managers and HSEQ.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous fuel industry experience is highly regarded.
- Electrical or Plumbing trade qualifications desirable but not mandatory.
- Forklift Licence (TLILIC0003) or willing to obtain
- Inspect & Test Fire Extinguishers Training (CPPFES2020) or willing to obtain
- Enter and Work in Confined Spaces (RIIWHS202E) or willing to obtain
- Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills.
- Experience with pipework and pumping equipment.
- Focused and compliant with all safe work practices.
- Exceptional time management skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Professional and friendly attitude.
- Work safely at heights (RIIWHS204E) or willing to obtain
- Current driver’s license with clean driving record.
